Doctoral Associate

I am an ecologist with a multi-disciplinary background. My research broadly focuses on behavioural ecology and conservation of primates in the Western Ghats, a global biodiversity hotspot in India. I obtained my PhD degree from University of Mysore in 2004. My research spans wide ranging topics in the fields of ecology and conservation, which include primate community ecology, frugivory and seed dispersal, landscape-level occupancy surveys of endangered species, and systematic conservation planning. Currently, my research focus is on the impact of anthropogenic pressures on plant frugivore interactions. My publications are listed here (https://scholar.google.co.in/citations?user=8gLc9pQAAAAJ&hl=en). Apart from my research activities, I have organized training and consultative workshops for managers and professionals and organized international conferences.
